​The TWIRL is an upcoming, veteran-owned indoor play and learning center designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children of all abilities. We aim to support children of all abilities and their families by offering adaptive play equipment, sensory-friendly spaces, family engagement programs, and more. The TWIRL creates a space where every child can learn, grow, and thrive—regardless of ability.
Our Mission
At The TWIRL, our mission is to create an inclusive, welcoming space where children of all abilities can learn, play, and grow together. We are dedicated to providing a safe environment that fosters development, encourages family engagement, and promotes inclusion for children with disabilities. Through adaptive equipment, sensory-friendly spaces, and tailored programs, we strive to support children’s physical, social, and emotional well-being while empowering families to connect, share experiences, and build a strong sense of community. Our goal is to ensure that every child, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to thrive and be celebrated.
Our Story
The TWIRL was founded by Matt and Erica Castro, a dedicated couple driven by a deep desire to create an inclusive, joyful space for children of all abilities. Their inspiration for starting the business came from their own experience with their son, Jensen, who was diagnosed with Alström Syndrome. Facing a lack of accessible and inclusive playgrounds for children with diverse needs, they decided to take matters into their own hands. The TWIRL is the result of their commitment to providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment where every child can play, explore, and thrive, regardless of their abilities. With a shared vision of inclusivity, The TWIRL is dedicated to creating a place where families can come together to celebrate the power of play for all children.
